The Sakuyakonohan Incense by Awaji Incense Koh-shi
The Sakuyakonohana Incense Series by Awaji Incense Koh-shi honors the wonderful world of flowers and their scents. According to the The Chronicles of Japan the oldest shrine in Japan is the Izanagi Jingu, located in Awaji Island which also happens to be the home to over 70% of koh-shi, or incense artisans. In celebration of the 1300th anniversary of the compilation of the chronicles, this new product series has been named Fragrances of Japan Collection—The Sakuyakonohana Incenses, after the Princess Konohanasakuya who appears in the stories of the chronicles. The fragrances in this series are derived from different flower varieties, reflected in their names.
