Astringent Toning | Herbal Facial Tea
An organic herbal facial tea made with herbs and botanicals known to help tighten pores and tone the skin.
Astringents and toners provide a good foundation for healthy, clean skin. The point is to penetrate the pores, remove excess dirt and oil, and then tighten the pores. As is the case with most beauty care products and cosmetics, commercial astringents are loaded with synthetic chemicals.
Many natural plants and herbs possess amazing astringent properties. This is an organic herbal facial tea made with herbs and botanicals that can help reduce breakouts by deeply cleansing the pores and help tighten pores and tone the skin. Some of the herbs included are:
- Lemon Balm, a mild astringent with antibacterial properties, is great for oily and acne-prone skin types. It helps tone, balance, and refresh the skin.
- Rose Petals have a cleansing, astringent, toning, moisture-retaining, stimulating, and soothing effect on the skin. The moisturizing and nourishing qualities give a boost to all skin types. Rose is particularly beneficial to dry, sensitive skin, or maturing skin.
- Yarrow Flowers are used for their astringent, healing, and soothing effects on the skin. Their strong soothing properties can be helpful to those suffering from inflamed skin or irritated skin conditions.
- Peppermint has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and astringent properties. It stimulates nerve endings and increases local blood flow, which may help with dry skin. Peppermint cools, refreshes, revitalizes, tones, and clarifies skin.
- Sage, rich in antioxidants, astringent, and antibacterial qualities, cleanses, stimulates blood circulation, and closes pores,.
Chagrin Valley's facial teas can be used as a facial steam or as an astringent tea toner.
