Description

The Maple Bourbon Dark Chocolate Truffle Bar by Maeve Chocolate has a rich dark chocolate center with maple syrup and oaked bourbon flavoring with a dark chocolate shell. Rich dark chocolate meets smoky maple, bourbon flavor, and crunchy toffee pieces in a truffle bar built for bonfire season. Bring it outside when the temperature drops, the fire gets going, and someone inevitably reaches for a guitar. Maple and bourbon bring the warmth, dark chocolate brings the richness, and toffee brings the crunch. Frankly, s'mores have some competition.

Ingredients: organic dark chocolate (cocoa mass, cane sugar, cocoa butter, soy lecithin, vanilla), toffee (beet sugar, glucose syrup, cream, butter, skim milk powder, salt), coconut oil, maple sugar, organic natural flavor, sea salt. Contains milk and soy and does not contain alcohol.

This product is manufactured in a plant that processes milk, soya, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, and wheat products.

Meet the Maker:

Maeve Chocolate (formerly Seattle Chocolate) was founded in heart of the Pacific Northwest and has been creating their signature melt-in-your-mouth truffle bars and bon bons since 1991. They are a fully carbon neutral company with eco-friendly practices at their very core. Maeve is proud to ethically source chocolate from Peru, West Africa, Tanzania, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic; and they do everything they can to ensure that their supply chain is putting people and the planet first.

It’s imperative to Maeve that the farmers they work with are paid well and able to live quality lives. Whenever possible, as in Peru, Tanzania, Ecuador, and the Dominican Republic, they directly source from the farmers who grow the beans used in their chocolate. Trading directly allows Maeve to cut out any middlepeople and personally ensure that farmers are paid fairly and able to thrive in this industry for years to come.

In locations where they aren’t able to work directly with farmers, Maeve is proud to source Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa. The Rainforest Alliance’s approach centers on helping farmers grow their businesses and become more profitable and resilient.
