Welcome to the Zakkaya Tsubuyaki Blog!

Welcome reader to the Zakkaya Tsubuyaki (tu-boo-yak) blog featuring soft talking from a little shop that brings you random goods from around the world that are made with intention and fill your life with joy. Anyone who has been following my shop for some time will know that I am a big fan of Japan, its people, and its goods. So it should be no surprise that I am using some fun Japanese terms for the title of my blog.

At the heart of Pink Moon Goods is the idea of living intentionally and surrounding oneself with beauty. Thankfully, beauty can also be found in the most mundane of things from a small plate for catching your tea bag or a dishbrush made with natural fibers. One of the most beloved objects in the shop is the Kabuki make-up brush by Iris Hantverk. This simple brush serves the very practical job of putting make-up on one’s face. But it is so much more than that. The softness of the goat hair is irresistible to anyone who sees it. This is what makes our shop such a delight to visit.

In today’s world of social media algorithms and online shopping it can be challenging to get folks out there to pay attention to what we have to offer. We get it. We are influenced by the same pressures as you that keep us distracted from the important moments in life and from the simple beauty that surrounds us each day.

We appreciate you being here and want to remind you that if you are reading this you are doing the work to slow down and to find ways to bring some intention and beauty into your life. We promise to never pontificate or preach to you. We truly just want to offer you some tips, discuss nesting, share special moments, and send blessings of joy into the world. Soft talking from the shop is what this blog is about.

Thanks for being here friend.
