• Includes a burning pad for safe burning and a striker pad for lighting
• Hold close to tip when lighting to prevent breakage. But don't worry if the tip breaks as you can easily light the incense with a lighter.

• Paper box wrapped in plastic
• Can set burning pad on a ceramic dish but be forewarned that it may leave burn marks. 

Meet the Makers

After years of trial and error, the Kobe Match Co, the creators of Hibi Match, arrived at a mixture of paper fibres, incense and charcoal to create the perfect strike-on-box incense match. The Harima region of Awaji has been producing matches and incense for nearly one hundred and fifty years. The island accounts for nearly 70% of the match production in Japan. The westerly winds through Awaji Island create the perfect temperature to dry incense and each of the fragrances derives from herbs grown by a local incense producer using traditional methods.
