Cat Tail Stirring Spoon 12"
The Cat Tail Stirring Spoon by Jonathan's Wild Cherry Spoons is the perfect wooden spoon for stirring sauces, cake batters, or veggies in a wok. The curved edge is both elegant and helpful. The surface is flat so it scrapes off on the rim of your bowl. Put the fun back in functional.
The balance of this spoon will make you want to bake again. Most spoons have a bowl, this one is flat for easy scraping. The angle of this spoon is designed to work well in saute pans as well.
This utensil is handmade and finished with food grade mineral oil. Wash with warm water and soap and re-oil occasionally with mineral oil, coconut oil, or Jonathan's Spoon Wax.

Meet the Maker
“It all started the day I forgot to bring a spoon for my lunch. I found a piece of scrap wood and quickly shaped a spoon.” -Jonathan Simons, owner of Jonathan's Spoons
Before attending the University of Illinois in Chicago, Jonathan apprenticed in his hometown at the incredible Bryn Athyn cathedral. After receiving his degree in art design, he apprenticed at a furniture shop where he created his first spoon, out of necessity. The year was 1977. Focusing simply on making wooden spoons, Jonathan began selling at local shops and craft shows and soon he needed help. Two sons of an artist friend, Shawn and Neil Claypoole, joined him in the mid 80’s to establish this thriving handmade business in Kempton, Pennsylvania. Jonathan's handcrafted cherry wood utensils have evolved over 45 years of experimentation in the wood shop and kitchen with a focus on four ideals: delightful connection, cheerful durability, intentional functionality, and keeping his brand small and personal.
