The “ume” design boldly depicts plum blossoms, which bring happiness in spring, and a Japanese bush warbler flying around them.

The “plum blossoms and bush warbler” has been used as a motif in paintings and waka poems in the Manyoshu (Japan’s oldest anthology of poetry) as a good omen since ancient times, and I-ori has incorporated it into the towel design with a striking arrangement.

The soft, non-twisted yarn and sweet-twisted yarn are used to create a fluffy, lightweight, and pleasant-to-the-touch feel. The colors are reversed on the reverse side and the front side of the towel, so you can enjoy two different looks in one towel.

In addition, the accent is provided by the pale blue border, which go well with each color, giving the towel a luxurious, artwork-like appearance.
