The entire surface of the gauze is woven in a herringbone pattern called “twill weave” to make it softer than ordinary gauze. The pile surface is also carefully selected and specially spun from high-grade cotton grown in India, “Shankar 6” (a supple yarn with little fluff), to achieve a softness that gently touches the skin and a volume that rises up when washed.
