Kousaido is an incense manufacturer based in Karasuma-dori, Kyoto, a city colored by its eternal history and culture. The culture of incense was brought to Japan with the introduction of Buddhism. They can be used as an offering, to purify an area,  enjoy the scent, or during a meditation practice. Incense have been integrated into daily life in various ways over the ages and have been passed down as a unique traditional culture that Japan is proud of.
