Dye Workshop #2 | Solid Dyeing With Plants and Indigo Resist

Dye Workshop #2 Solid Color Natural Dye and Indigo Resist September 29, from 11am-5pm

This workshop will cover how to use plants to dye one cotton napkin, how to use an exhaust dye bath to dye one linen napkin, a simple indigo resist dye onto one white linen napkin, and how to use the indigo vat or iron bath to shift one solid color. Student will leave the workshop with a basic understanding of the the process of prepping fabric for plant dye, dyeing fabrics with plants to achieve a solid color, dyeing with a fresh indigo vat, using either indigo or iron to shift a color, and learning which plants to grow in your own garden for future projects.

No previous experience necessary. Student must be 16 years or older to participate. 

****Limit one sign-up per person. Each person attending must sign up themselves. If anyone registers with a quantity over 1 the overage will be deregistered. 

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of the work in this class space is limited. Please please please only sign up if you are certain that you can come to the class on time and stay the entire time. It would be disappointing if someone took a spot from someone else if they are unable to take advantage of the entire workshop time. There will be more opportunities in the future so please keep that in mind when signing up.
